As we know we live in a fickle world, where we dont know what to expect, every day is different and the only thing that you can control is how you want to be perceived as a brand.
Instagram is a very efficient digital tool to promote your artwork, wheather you are an art gallery, design gallery, independent artists, art dealer, interior designer, etc. Using this tool you can start showcasing your product easyly, is affordable and friendly to work with it.
It is a digital channel where you can explore different type of audiences, measure the range of ages that are looking your account, where did they come from, giving you a specific overview of your potential clients.
You might be agnostic about marketing digital and probably you will have some doubt, like: if it really works for every type of artwork, if it could be beneficial to invest time in this platform to get visibility and if it is reliable. According to my experience is very realiable, becuase is your online showcase and store where you can show every artwork and your style besides how you get inspired.
Most of the people might think that is really easy to open an account just post your photos and that´s it!!! Right now I am online and will have thousands of followers and thousands of sells, but the truth is that you need a digital plan to boost your brand in this platfrom and that takes time.
Instagram segmentation is between 18 to 35 years, most of them post pictures and use some motivational quotes. In the Art world you need an advantage in your artwork, just like a regular brand, something to make you special, could be the type of photos, colors, certain type of font or the way you write, something to enhance your personality besides your art signature.
To increase the brand recognition is fundamental to have a solid online presence on Instagram, thats why you should include this tool in your promotion plan.

The stories are useful for promotions like discounts, sales, last pieces, or you can do some contests. Also, you can show your audience a bit of yourself and your inspiration a back scene of your final work, so your audience could feel part of it. Record a regular day of yourself, what do you like for breakfast, what do you do besides painting, where do you go often, if you are a lovely person or more practical and independent even you might be a very athletic artist and you like to go away in your bicycle and get fresh air and run all over the mountain to get calm, relax and receive some natural energy and feel all that breeze in your face to open your mind and start working or maybe you were planning to teach some technique that has helped you to boost your artwork and using stories could be helpful.
Live Instagram
This is a newly tool that is IN right now, and has increased even more during the quarantine, personally I dont use it so much but also help to increase your audinece giving them a peace you in real time, just like the stories but this is has to be LIVE, because on stories could upload some saved video from long ago.
IGTV
This is my favorite, are videos where you can record yourself doing some tutorials, or giving a workshop and stays in your app forever, is a video like Youtube that it last several minutes and you can keep it in your profile.
Efficient Hashtags
This is a pain in the ass sometimes, because you need to do some tastings to choose the correct Hashtags, you might think obviusly I will include some hashtags that have to be related with art, well thats true but you need to think like your customer too, so my advise is to go to the space where is the loup in the top of the tool and click in the icon that has the shape of #(hashtag) there you can look for some words related to your type of work, scroll over to see the type of photos that are showing up there and start using them.
Description
The caption is an essential part of the content that you are generated, because you can explain there briefly what is about, your inspiration, the meaning and overall transmit an emotion, it is proven that EMOTIONS sells 90% of the time, at least you can gain more engagement to your current clients and get new ones.
